Mr. Driller Aqua (ミスタードリラーアクア) is a mobile-exclusive spin-off of the Mr. Driller series.

There are three playable characters: Susumu Hori, Anna Hottenmeyer and Holinger-Z. Four different time modes could be played: 300-seconds, 180-seconds, 60-seconds and endless mode. The game added the Air Tank, which works similarly to the Air Capsule in previous games. However, the player could receive as much air as they wanted in the Air Tank, whereas the Air Capsule was a temporary solution. The more time spent in the Air Tank led to time being lost.

Synopsis[edit | edit source]

The game begins with the drillers arriving to a tropical island. Suddenly, they hear a news report stating that the marine life is getting trapped underneath blocks. To rescue the trapped sea creatures, you must drill through the colorful cubes to meet the goal as quickly as possible.

Availability[edit | edit source]

Mr. Driller Aqua was initially released through the Namco Games monthly subscription. For ¥315 a month, subscribers could play different games published by Bandai Namco.

In 2011, the game was distributed on Android devices in South Korea via the T-Store^[2] and Olleh Market services.^[3]
