Monster Hunter (モンスターハンター), also known as Monster Hunter i on i-mode devices, is the first Monster Hunter game developed for mobile phones. This game came pre-installed on certain Sharp mobile phones, where it was called Monster Hunter i for SH (モンスターハンターi for SH).

Monster Hunter is an open-ended game focused on completing quests, rather than reaching a conclusion. The game includes over 160 quests.

Monster Hunter i for SH offered slightly fewer features than original version of the game, and also has a network requirement in order to exchange equipment.
