Keitai Wiki Structure
This page provides a general outline of how pages are organized on Keitai Wiki.
Games[edit | edit source]
Games are organized by the following criteria:
Another way games are organized is by their distribution site.
- Publisher (ex. Capcom, Square Enix)
- Distribution Site: these are the mobile sites where games were downloaded and distributed (ex. Capcom Park, Final Fantasy Mobile)
Each publisher has their own collection of distribution sites. Oftentimes, games from the same series were published on multiple sites. Additionally, the distribution sites were not static - they often changed names, migrated, combined, and separated. These websites were accessed through text menus within the phone browser, but the path to each site would sometimes change.
These are a few other categories that are completely separate from the ones listed above:
- Games Ported From Other Platforms
- Games Ported to Other Platforms
- Pre-Installed
- Category:Chokkan/Intuition [motion capable games]
- Freeware
Services and Providers[edit | edit source]
Services and providers are still being organized, but here are a few general categories.
Mobile Services: These are the actual online services that offered games and other features.
- i-mode
- EZweb
- Yahoo!Keitai (previously J-SKY and Vodaphone)
- Club Air-Edge
Each of these mobile services are managed by a different mobile service provider. They each have their own collections of features, as well as their own J2ME runtimes.
Service | Provider | Java Runtime | Unique Features |
---|---|---|---|
i-mode | DoCoMo | DoJa | |
EZweb | au | BREW | |
J-SKY/Vodaphone/Yahoo!Keitai | Softbank | J2ME with special libraries | |
Club Air-Edge | Willcomm | J2ME (not much is known) |
A few services were shared across all phones, such as 1Seg.
