EMnet was a mobile internet service created by EMOBILE (part of the greater company eAccess) in 2008. In 2013, eAccess became a subsidiary of SoftBank. In 2014, eAccess merged with Willcom (also bought by SoftBank) to form Y!mobile. This was a sub-brand of SoftBank's mobile internet business, focusing on lower budget lines and PHS devices. Compared to the other big three Japanese mobile internet services, EMnet was short-lived and supported few devices.
